FY 2012-2013 was a game changer for Aarna Projects. We envisaged a paradigm shift in the way companies perceive supply-chain as an integral part of their operations. With cut throat competition in every market segment, companies cannot afford to have any bottlenecks in their supply chain. Increasingly, companies have begun viewing their logistics centers as a profit driver and as an enabler to generator more revenues as opposed to a cost centre.
To help them achieve their goal, we set out to create a world class warehouse that will set a new benchmark in the warehousing industry. We have incorporated features that would offer higher storage density, significantly reduce warehouse down time and offer higher throughputs. Such a warehouse will address critical issues related to rising SKU complexity, increasing demand for quick response from companies and increasing volumes due to growth in consumer demand. Admitted by industry experts, our warehousing facility is considered as “the most modern facility in eastern India”. This modern warehouse is our maiden project in Kolkata – a stepping stone to bigger things to come in the near future.
Ours is a closely held family business with interests in tea, cold storage, warehousing and real estate. We operate several cold storage and ambient warehouses in West Bengal having clients like Pepsico and Dabur. Our estimated lease hold clients in warehousing and real estate segment include Food Corporation of India, The Karnataka Bank Limited, SKF Bearings Limited, Maersk Line India Limited and GE Capital to name a few.
